It’s really hard to say what is worse when you are having your delicious chocolate- the chocolate stain on your cloth or the delicious chocolate that has been wasted. Cotton clothes do not create any additional problem to remove the stains from chocolate. They generally come off with regular laundering. To remove the stain, you should allow the stain to dry and scrape off by scratching with a butter knife, or you can use hydrogen peroxide on the affected area after checking for fastness of color at some inconspicuous place on the same cloth.

Hydrogen peroxide may leave a stain and that can be visible after drying off. If this happens, rub the stain with sponge and hot or warm water then apply some powered pepsin on the affected area and leave it for half an hour. Rub that pepsin and wash the fabric with warm water. There are some guidelines to get rid of chocolate stain removal

  • Always try to wash your stained fabric immediately with a good quantity of water.
  • You should at least know the type of fabric you are treating with.
  • Always wash the stain away from the fabric and not into the fabric. Place the blotting paper on correct side of paper and heat should be applied on the wrong side of fiber.
  • Let the chemicals of cleaning be work on the fabric. Don’t make haste to get a clean cloth immediately as it may work the opposite way.
  • Do not rub too much. It might be possible that the fabric may not accept excessive rubbing.
  • It is necessary to test the chemical on inconspicuous area on fabric so that if chemical doesn’t suit the fabric, it will not be readily seen.

Apart from chocolate, chocolate drinks are another one to create the same problem. If chocolate drink stain has occurred on carpet, clothing or other fabric, it can be effectively cleaned with some easy solution. The key to remove stains is to get to them as soon as possible. This prevents the stain from setting and becoming tougher to remove. You will have most of the supplies to remove chocolate drink stains already in your home. Some tips can be used as chocolate stain removal Scrape away any dried chocolate with a spoon or butter knife from the outside edges to avoid spreading the stain into surrounding of cloth, use blot paper to take remaining liquid of chocolate, make a solution of ¼  tablespoon of liquid detergent and 1 cup of water. Dip a white cloth in solution and put on the stained area. Then rinse the stain with warm water. Cover it with a white towel and blot properly. Repeat this process until the stain is gone.
